In Brief: Microsoft, Forbes In Web Listings Deal

REDMOND, Wash. - Microsoft Corp. announced Wednesday that its HomeAdvisor.com will be the exclusive provider of nationwide home listings, mortgage information, home-buying tools, and editorial content for Forbes.com's new Lifestyle section.

HomeAdvisor.com will provide a nationwide database of more than 800,000 home listings on Forbes.com, with throughout the country, Micro-soft said.

The company announced two weeks ago that it is selling the mortgage technology division of HomeAdvisor Technologies Inc., its joint venture with J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and GMAC Residential Funding Corp., and absorbing the venture's other operations.

HomeAdvisor.com and Realty Desktop, a Web-based transaction management service for real estate brokers and agents, have been integrated back into the Microsoft's network of Internet services, or MSN.

Microsoft said its partners in the joint venture have agreed to the changes.
