Minnesota Life Group Insurance, which grew from the 16th-largest U.S. group life insurer to sixth-largest in the seven years after 1997, said Thursday that it has opened offices in Chicago; Glendale, Calif.; and Charleston, W.Va.
The St. Paul-based company also opened a Manhattan office in February for its subsidiary Securian Life Insurance Co.
By catering to large employers, the company said, it has grown steadily since 1997 and now has more than $420 billion of group life insurance in force. The new offices are to serve brokers and consultants who work with large employers in their regions.
