In Brief: Minnesota Life Added 12% in '04

Minnesota Life Group Insurance in St. Paul achieved a 12% hike in insurance in force and 99% customer retention during 2004, it said Tuesday.

The company said it ended the year with $58 million of group life sales and nearly $340 billion of group life insurance in force. Minnesota Life's target group life insurance market is Fortune 1000 employers. The group division also insures the employees of Delaware, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Georgia.

The company also offers online enrollment, beneficiary changes, investment management for variable group universal life policies, and underwriting.
