Exchange National Bancshares Inc. of Jefferson City, Mo., is buying the $171 million-asset Bank 10 in Belton for $32 million.

The deal, announced Monday, is expected to close around May 1 and would expand Exchange's operations in the Kansas City area. Exchange would get three branches in Cass County and two in Jackson County, where it already has a branch.
Bank 10 would keep its name and management and would become a subsidiary of the $884 million-asset Exchange, which already has three bank subsidiaries.
The acquisition would be the first for Exchange since the first half of 2000, when it made three purchases.
