In Brief: myCFO Gets $45M in Funding Round

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — myCFO Inc., an advisory firm for high-net-worth individuals, announced Monday that it has secured $45 million of funding.

The round was led by Northern Trust Corp., which had invested previously in the firm, along with new backers. myCFO said it will use the funds to expand its team of financial advisers and its online technology platform.

The firm, which was started in May 1999 by Netscape founder Jim Clark, has raised $90 million of private placement funding.
