MOUNT AIRY, N.C. Surrey Bank & Trust has purchased Lowry Insurance Agency, an independent agency owned by Charles and Frank Lowry. The agency specializes in property and casualty insurance and life insurance for businesses, families, and individuals. The terms of purchase were not disclosed.
The purchase will enable the bank to offer insurance products to its customers through a well-established independent insurance agency. Both companies are based in Mount Airy.
Surrey Bank & Trust was chartered in 1996 and is a locally owned financial institution with branches in Mount Airy.
