In Brief: Northern Trust Hires Sales Exec

Northern Trust Corp. has announced the hiring of Daniel Strumphler to be the institutional sales director for the Chicago banking company's asset management arm. Before joining Northern Trust Global Investments, the company said on Wednesday, Mr. Strumphler was a senior vice president at ABN Amro, where he was responsible for sales and marketing of asset management products to corporate clients.

Northern Trust Global Investments is a multi-asset-class investment manager serving institutional and personal clients worldwide. The division had $572 billion of assets under management at Dec. 31; it offers active, passive, and enhanced products, as well as manager-of-manager programs for alternative investments and other specialty programs.
