In Brief: Northern Trust Wins $196M Pension Job

Northern Trust Corp. announced Wednesday that it had been selected to be the global custodian and trustee of the Hiram Walker Canadian Retirement Fund.

The Toronto-based pension plan has $196.34 million of assets.

Scott Scobie, a senior vice president and a division manager at Northern Trust Canada, said the company already supplies a multinational service in the United Kingdom and United States for Hiram Walker's parent company, Allied Domecq.

Northern Trust is based in Chicago and has a network of 83 offices in 17 states as well as offices in six other countries. At Dec. 31, it had $2.6 trillion of assets under administration and $572 billion under management.
