CHICAGO - John Nuveen Co. said Wednesday that it had filed registration statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission for eight exchange traded closed-end municipal bond funds.
Salomon Smith Barney will serve as lead manager of the funds, and Nuveen Investment Management will be the investment adviser. The offering date has not been established.
Nuveen manages or oversees over $71 billion of assets.
