Merlin Securities, a New York broker-dealer specializing in prime brokerage, announced Monday that it had hired Eric Morgan to be a managing director of sales and trading in California.

Mr. Morgan spent three years as a vice president and West Coast accounts manager for Susquehanna International Group and previously was a sales and trading principal at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. He belongs to the San Francisco Traders Association and is based in Merlin's San Francisco office.
