In Brief: Old National Introduces an HSA

Old National Bank in Evansville, Ind., announced Tuesday its health savings account entry.

The accounts have begun to spread rapidly after a December 2003 law authorized them; they allow employees with high-deductible health plans to save money tax-exempt to pay medical expenses not covered by their insurance. Old National said it would issue Visa debit cards to HSA customers who wish to use them to pay qualified expenses.
