St. Paul Travelers Cos. Inc. said Monday that T. Michael Miller, its co-chief operating officer, had resigned, and OneBeacon Insurance, a subsidiary of White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd., said he had joined it as chief operating officer.
St. Paul Travelers said it will soon make related organizational announcements. Mr. Miller was promoted to co-COO on Feb. 1 from chief executive officer of the specialty commercial operation he had led since April 2004.
Mr. Miller came from the St. Paul Cos. side of the firm that was formed by merger with the former Travelers Property and Casualty on April 1, 2004.
At OneBeacon Mr. Miller is to oversee the specialty businesses. The Boston company's specialty businesses supply customized coverages to certain niche markets including ocean marine, professional liability, and agribusiness.
OneBeacon Insurance Group is wholly owned by White Mountains Insurance Group of Hamilton, Bermuda.
