In Brief: Phoenix Investment Hires Conseco Duo

CHICAGO —Phoenix Investment Partners’ institutional markets unit has hired two former Conseco Capital Management executives.

Hilary S. Salatich was named senior vice president of sales, and Joan W. Boyer, vice president of marketing. Both were hired Monday.

They report to Thomas A. Meyers, executive vice president and chief distribution officer at Phoenix, who joined the firm in September from Conseco.

Ms. Salatich was second vice president of institutional marketing at Conseco for five years. Earlier she had worked at Anthem Capital Management and Heartland Capital Management, both in Indianapolis.

Ms. Boyer was second vice president of institutional marketing at Conseco for six years. Earlier she had been a mutual fund analyst at Federated Investors and an acquisition analyst for Standard Federal Savings Bank in Frederick, Md.
