In Brief: Prestige Financial Corp. Had Record Income

FLEMINGTON, N.J. - Prestige Financial Corp. reported record income for 1994 of $710,000, up from $523,000 last year.

Fourth-quarter net income, also a record, was up to $205,000 from $63,000.

Return on assets for the $133 million-asset state-chartered bank was 0.61% and return on equity was 7.72%.

Deposits rose to $122 million, while loans reached $94 million.

Bank officials attributed the growth in part to their Small Business Administration loan portfolio, which grew by $7.5 million in the fourth quarter alone.

Prestige, an SBA preferred lender, was the leading state lender in dollar volume for 1994.

Prestige is the holding company for Prestige State Bank, serving Hunterdon, Warren, and Somerset counties.
