Principal Global Investors, a member of Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, said Monday that it had appointed M. Randall "Randy" Strickland a managing director, consultant relations.
He is to oversee the consultant relations strategy for Principal Global Investors, which envisions expanding institutional sales activities, the company said.
Mr. Strickland has more than 20 years' experience in institutional asset management, most recently as managing director of consultant relations at BNY Asset Management, Bank of New York Co.'s asset management arm. Principal Financial Services Inc. is a financial services company that offers life and health insurance and retirement and investment services; it managed $195.2 billion of assets, primarily for institutional clients, at Dec. 31.
