In Brief: Rockland Trust Joins No-Fee ATM Program

ROCKLAND, Mass. - Rockland Trust Co. of Massachusetts has joined NYCE Corp.'s Sum Selective Surcharge program and is providing surcharge-free automated teller machine service to its ATM and MasterMoney cardholders.

The trust's customers can use any of the 2,277 ATMs in the Sum program without a surcharge.

"As a community bank, we are always seeking to enhance our customer service, to provide access and cost efficiencies," said Richard Driscoll, executive vice president of Rockland.

The Sum program is available to all NYCE member institutions, and 347 of them, including 275 in Massachusetts, currently participate.

Rockland has $1.9 billion of assets and 51 retail branches.
