In Brief: Royal Bank Puts Training Network on Web

TORONTO - Royal Bank Financial Group has made its online training Personal Learning Network available to more than 42,000 employees over the Internet.

When it was started in 1995, the network was accessible only through dedicated computers in Royal Bank offices across Canada.

The network gives employees access to lessons on everything from building client relationships and exceeding service expectations to general financial services operations.

For example, Royal Mutual Funds recently released a three-level course on investment concepts, planning, and portfolio management, and the personal and commercial banking division has assembled courses on negotiations and fraud, custody and securities, cash procedures, and transactional processes.
