KeyBank on Tuesday named Michael A. Butler vice chairman and head of small-business banking.
Mr. Butler, 40, was promoted from executive vice president and head of portfolio management for KeyBank's $80 billion-asset parent company, KeyCorp of Cleveland. He succeeds Sandra Maltby, who left earlier this month to teach at Baldwin-Wallace College in Cleveland.
As KeyBank's top small-business banking executive, Mr. Butler will oversee both sales and credit underwriting for the company's $3 billion of loans and 300,000 small-business customers.
Mr. Butler, who has worked at KeyCorp for 18 years, will report to Gary R. Allen, chairman and chief executive officer.
