In Brief: Software Monitors Basic ATM Systems

DAYTON, Ohio - Gasper Corp., which sells management software for automated teller machines, has introduced a product meant to help keep tabs on basic ATMs and resolve any problems that arise.

The new product, Gasper ATM Monitor, will help deployers increase network availability, improve vendor management, and increase the efficiency of help desk personnel, the company said.

The software responds to specific problems as they occur, monitors chronic problems, and notifies service vendors. It documents when a problem starts, when service personnel arrive, and when the problem is resolved.

Chronic-event detection can help to identify such difficult-to-diagnose problems as encryption key problems, cash dispenser failures, or card readers that need cleaning or replacement, the company said.

Gasper already offers a similar product, Gasper Manager, for more extensive networks.

"Gasper ATM Monitor contains many of the base features that have made Gasper Manager famous but is priced and designed for the less complex and less dynamic ATM networks," said David Gasper, president of Gasper Corp. "As your network expands and becomes more complex, Gasper ATM Monitor can be easily upgraded to Gasper Manager."
