In Brief: Stonier Program Condensed to One Week

WASHINGTON - To accommodate busy bankers, the American Bankers Association's Stonier Graduate School of Business is condensing its in- residence session from two weeks to one.

The program, which is part of Stonier's three-year degree, will include 75-minute classes, six classes per day, and a six-day school week. Previously, there were four 90-minute classes a day, meeting five days a week.

"We're in a rapidly changing environment," said Charles Hoffman, academic director of the school. "Banking professionals ... are being asked to do more with fewer people. As a result, they are finding it increasingly difficult to be gone from their banks for a two-week period of time."

The new format will be used at the next session, June 15-22, 1996, at the University of Delaware. For more information, call Barbara Payne at 202-663-5398.
