Sun Life Financial Distributors Inc., a subsidiary of Sun Life Financial U.S. in Wellesley Hills, Mass., said that it has hired Thomas Bullen to be its chief operating officer and David Byrnes to be national sales manager.
Mr. Bullen now is responsible for internal sales, marketing, national account management, continuing education, and advanced sales support, the company said Wednesday. Before joining Sun Life, he was the director of business development at EarthMark Cos. LLC, a real estate development company in Fort Myers, Fla.
Mr. Byrnes is responsible for managing the sales and distribution of Sun Life's annuity products. Most recently, he was a managing director at Smith Barney in New York, responsible for managing the distribution of all mutual fund, annuity, and insurance products.
