In Brief: SunAmerica Alters Fund Family’s Name

NEW YORK — SunAmerica Mutual Funds has changed the name of its Brazos family of funds to SunAmerica Brazos.

In 1999 SunAmerica’s parent company, American International Group Inc., bought a majority interest in John McStay Investment Counsel LP, the Dallas firm that manages the Brazos funds.

The five funds are offered within the SunAmerica family of funds in class A, B and II shares, the company said Tuesday.
