Symetra Life Insurance Co. in Redmond, Wash., said Tuesday that it had enhanced its custom fixed annuity by raising the minimum rate guarantee to 2%, from 1.5%, during the first seven years of the contract.
It has also doubled, to 12 months, the period during which funds may be added to the contract.
Symetra sells annuities, life insurance, group employee benefits, and retirement plans through more than 20,000 agents and advisers.
