COLUMBUS, Ga. Synovus Financial Management Services said Wednesday that it had agreed to acquire Globalt Inc., an investment adviser based in Atlanta.
The deal is expected to close this quarter. The companies did not disclose the price.
Globalt employs 25 people, including 12 investment professionals. It invests only in U.S. companies with the resources to compete successfully in a globalized market, the Synovus Financial Corp. unit said in press release. Globalts four managing partners Samuel Allen, William Roach, Gary Fullam, and Gregory Paulette are to remain in their current capacities.
Synovus Financial had already announced one deal this week. On Tuesday the $16.7 billion-asset company said it would buy Community Financial Group Inc. in Nashville for $81 million in cash and stock. That deal is expected to close later this year.
