In Brief: Vice Chairman Leaving Nat City

CLEVELAND — Vincent A. DiGirolamo, vice chairman at National City Corp., announced Thursday that he will retire March 31 after more than four decades with the banking company.

Mr. DiGirolamo, 63, has been vice chairman post since October 1995. No successor has been named, but a decision could be made soon, a spokesman said.

As vice chairman Mr. DiGirolamo oversaw the branches, consumer lending, corporate banking, and corporate marketing. He has served as director of several subsidiaries, including National City Mortgage Co.

He joined the company in 1960 as a collector in the installment loan department.
