In Brief: VirtualBank Offers Information Storage

ATLANTA - VirtualBank, an Internet bank, signed an agreement with enfoTrust Networks to let its customers organize and store personal information online.

The enfoTrust software will let customers organize general, medical, financial, career, education, and travel information and store documents such as receipts, photographs, and resumes in a free online account. Customers will be able to draw upon this information to complete online forms and transactions from any compatible Web site.

For example, when users complete a home loan application, they can reuse the information to instantly buy homeowners insurance or change utility service. They can apply for a loan with multiple lenders, open a bank account, apply for a job, and shop online without ever entering additional information.

EnfoTrust, founded in March 1999, has 70 business customers, including ReliaQuote.com, an insurance shopping site; LendingTree; and Yahoo Inc.'s corporate site.
