In Brief: Washington Mutual in Small-Biz Push

SEATTLE - Washington Mutual announced a new effort Wednesday to expand its small business market share throughout its eight-state consumer banking area.

Wamu said the initiative includes special offers on its existing products and waivers of fees such as those charged to start business lines of credit, ADP payroll, or other services. The company said the program is designed for customers with less than $5 million of annual revenue and fewer than 10 employees, and who are seeking credit up to $100,000.
