In Brief: Wausau Site Sells<@SM> Small-Biz Coverage

WAUSAU, Wis. Small employers can now apply for and buy a package of property and liability insurance coverage through Wausau Insurances small-business Web site.

Applications for Business Owners Policy are processed in six to eight minutes at the site, Wausau says. Wausau reviews the application through its underwriting system and provides a quote within one business day, and the customer can buy standard or customized coverage online immediately by credit card or other method of payment.

Wausau also operates a toll-free telephone service center staffed by agents licensed in all 50 states.

Wausau Insurance is part of Liberty Mutual Group, Boston.
