Legacy Capital Management, a Roseville, Calif., boutique wealth management firm for high-net-worth clients, said Friday that it had promoted Jim McCarthy to chief operating officer.

Mr. McCarthy has worked at Legacy for 10 years, the company said, and oversees its daily portfolio management activities. Founded in 1993, Legacy manages $160 million of assets for private clients. It provides wealth management services to high-net-worth clients and charitable organizations nationally.
