HSA Bank, a division of the Webster Bank unit of Webster Financial Corp., will discount health savings account administration services to the more than 600,000 small-business members of the National Federation of Independent Business, it said Tuesday.
Monthly HSA fees were discounted up to 50% for federation members under an agreement that took effect June 1. The associated high-deductible health insurance is provided exclusively to federation members through JLBG Health -- Assurant Affinity, the federation's dedicated HSA broker.
HSA Bank, which is based in Sheboygan, Wis., says it has customers in every state and is one of the first financial institutions to offer health savings accounts. Webster Financial in Waterbury, Conn., is the $17.4 billion-asset holding company for Webster Bank and Webster Insurance.
