In Brief: Wis. Branches Changing Hands Twice

Webster Financial Corp. of Waterbury, Conn., has agreed to sell the two Wisconsin branches it expects to acquire this quarter to National Exchange Bank and Trust of Fond du Lac, Wis.

The deal was announced Tuesday; the price was not disclosed.

The $165 million-asset Eastern Wisconsin Bancshares, of Howards Grove, owns the branches. Webster is buying the company for its health savings account deposits and loans.

National Exchange Bank, which has $813 million of assets, intends to keep the branches open and retain their employees.
