Ingenico SA has come out with a point of sale mobile terminal line that it says is smaller, lighter and has longer battery life than its predecessors.
The three products, announced Nov. 30, differ by screen quality and size. The iWL220 has a monochrome screen; the iWL250 has a color screen. The iWL280 has a color touchscreen and can capture signatures.
All the devices accept contactless, chip-and-PIN and magnetic-stripe transactions, Ingenico said.
Ingenico would not disclose pricing for the devices but said they would be competitively priced in each region where they are sold, and they will be available globally in 2011.
