Intercontinental Bank wins round in court.

MIAMI - Intercontinental Bank said the Supreme Court of Florida will let stand an appellate court decision supporting the bank's position in a lender liability lawsuit.

The decision by the Third District Court of Appeal had reversed a lower court judgment in favor of the plaintiff, DKH Properties Ltd., and remanded the case for a new trial, the bank said. In so doing, the appellate court instructed the lower court to enter judgment in favor of Intercontinental on several issues and reinstated Intercontinental's claim for mortgage foreclosure. DKH had obtained a loan to renovate a building.
