Ixonia Bank in Wis. Promotes Lending Chief to President

Mark Wierman, the chief lending officer at Ixonia Bank in Wisconsin, now has a second title: president.

The $303 million-asset bank said Wierman succeeded Dan Westrope as president. Westrope will remain CEO and serve as chairman of the bank, a newly created position.

Wierman joined Ixonia Bank as lending chief in 2014. Previously he was senior leader of the commercial banking team at Associated Bank in Stevens Point, Wis.

Under Wierman's leadership "the bank's loan portfolio has both grown in volume and increased in quality, further strengthening the bank's balance sheet," Westrope said in a press release Wednesday. "Mark has also demonstrated the skills necessary to undertake an expanded role in leading the bank as it continues to grow and prosper."
