JPM Chase Rehires Russian Banker

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has rehired one of its most senior Russian dealmakers as the bank bolsters its presence in the region ahead of an expected rise in flotations and merger-and-acquisition activity.

Yan Tavrovsky has been named head of investment banking for Russia and Ukraine and deputy chief executive for Russia at its JPMorgan Chase unit, according to a statement. Tavrovsky had been a senior banker with Morgan Stanley in Russia for five years, the last one as head of the investment banking business.

Prior to that he spent five years as a managing director at JPMorgan Chase in London and Moscow.
