JPMorgan Chase Acquires Xign

JPMorgan Chase & Co. said Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of the Internet invoicing company Xign Corp.

Xign, which will be renamed JPMorgan Xign Corp., offers business-to-business electronic payments software. JPMorgan Chase has said it plans to use the technology to add automated invoicing and payment features to its purchasing card business. That would give business customers the option of making payments through the automated clearing house network or charging them to a card account.

JPMorgan Chase did not say what it spent for Xign, of Pleasanton, Calif. The deal was announced in April.
