Ken Charlton named president of Banc One Colorado Corp.

Ken Charlton has been named president and chief operating officer of Banc One Colorado Corp. The Denver-based bank holding company owns 42 banking centers in Colorado.

Mr. Charlton succeeds Ronald L. Moore, who will continue as chairman and chief executive of Banc One Colorado.

Mr. Charlton will have control of day-to-day operations, while Mr. Moore will focus on strategy, with primary responsibility for long-term planning and acquisitions.

J. Wayne Hutchens has been appointed to succeed Mr. Charlton as chairman and chief executive of Bank One Boulder.

Mr. Hutchens also will continue as president of the Boulder bank, a post he assumed in March.
