Kennsco acquires automation firm.

Kennsco Inc., Minneapolis, has acquired Altech Inc., St. Louis. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Altech is a provider of automation products for the financial services industry. Kennsco provides a full range of computer products and services. The merged company will be called Kennsco Financial Solutions.

Kennsco first entered the financial market in the late 1980s as a maintenance organization for banking teller terminals. Today, it services more than 50,000 pieces of equipment nationwide.

In addition, the company is a certified reseller, lessor, and service provider for most major brands of hardware and software, including NCR, IBM, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Epson, Citus, OnLine Financial, and Novell.
