KeyCorp, Cleveland, has hired Thomas C. Stevens as executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary.

He succeeds Roger Noall, who will remain chief administration officer.

As outside counsel Mr. Stevens made "a significant contribution" over two decades to KeyCorp and Society Corp., its 1994 merger partner, said Robert W. Gillespie, KeyCorp's president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Stevens, who will report to Mr. Gillespie, was the managing partner of Thompson Hine & Flory, an Ohio-based national law firm.
