Keyport Life Promotes CFO And Signs Up A Successor

Keyport Life Insurance Co., Boston, has hired Bernhard M. Koch as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He succeeded Paul LeFevre, who was promoted to the newly created post of executive vice president of strategic planning and marketing.

Mr. Koch was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Life Partners Group Inc., Denver. Before that he was senior vice president/CFO at Laurentian Capital Corp., Wayne, Pa.

Mr. LeFevre had been Keyport's CFO since 1991. He joined the company in 1979 as vice president and actuary.

Michael S. Bucceri was hired as national sales director, a newly created post. Mr. Bucceri was the national sales and marketing manager at Purchase, N.Y.-based Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc.

Keyport Life, a $14 billion-asset subsidiary of Liberty Financial Cos., is a provider of fixed, variable, and equity-indexed annuities.
