Metavante Technologies Inc. announced Thursday that its former parent, the Milwaukee banking company Marshall & Ilsley Corp., had decided to use its branch capture technology.
Metavante, also of Milwaukee, said M&I would deploy its Direct Branch technology to capture check images at the back counters of its 375 branches in eight states.
"We will be able to cut operating costs, increase productivity and accelerate transaction processing to deliver same- or next-day availability of funds to our customers," John Roberts, a senior vice president at M&I, said in a Metavante press release.
M&I already uses Metavante's Direct Merchant check-image capture technology for its corporate and merchant customers.
