Marsh Inc., a New York risk and insurance services company, said it had hired Rob McGinnis to lead its U.S. consumer business, which includes the U.S. operations of its private-client services businesses.

Mr. McGinnis founded the McGinnis Group, a New York insurance consulting firm.
Previously, he was the president and chief executive officer of life and group operations at CNA Insurance in Chicago, Marsh said on Thursday.
The unit of New York's Marsh & McLennan Cos. has 26,000 employees and annual revenues approaching $5 billion.
