MassMutual International LLC, a subsidiary of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., announced Monday it promoted three executives to senior managing director, effective immediately.
Ricardo Calderon, who was most recently a vice president and associate general counsel in MassMutual’s corporate law division, was named senior managing director and chief operating officer for MassMutual International. Yek Cheng, formerly with MassMutual Mercuries Life Insurance Co. Ltd. in Taiwan, was named a senior managing director and chief risk officer and actuary for MassMutual International. John Miller, Jr. was named a senior managing director and will continue in his role as chief financial officer.
Mr. Calderon, 45, will be responsible for leading the organization’s business development activities, expanding and developing new sales and distribution channels overseas as well as providing product development and marketing support.
Mr. Cheng, 56, primarily will be responsible for risk management at MassMutual International.
MassMutual International offers life insurance, health benefits and accident insurance, annuity and pension products, and asset management products and services across Asia and Europe.
MassMutual, which is based in Springfield, Mass., had $450 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
