MassMutual Financial Group of Springfield, Mass., promoted Ian Sheridan and Eric Wietsma to corporate vice presidents in its retirement services division.
Mr. Sheridan is the chief marketing officer for MassMutual's retirement services division. He joined MassMutual as vice president of marketing in 2003.
Mr. Wietsma will head of the investment organization as corporate vice president of investment services. He formed MassMutual's investment consulting team to provide additional investment support to clients, prospects, and distribution channel relationships.
Prior to joining MassMutual in December 2005, Mr. Wietsma managed the public retirement plan business at Hartford Financial Services Inc.
MassMutual Financial Group, which announced the promotions on Friday, is the fleet name for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., which has $450 billion in assets under management the end of last year.
