MasterCard Inc. announced that it had introduced its Mobile MasterCard MoneySend person-to-person transfer service.
The service, built on one run by Obopay Inc., works with a prepaid card issued by Bancorp Inc. of Wilmington, Del., though MasterCard said Tuesday that other issuers would start offering the service this year.
Other bank accounts can be used to fund the prepaid account linked to the service.
