Mellon Units Name CEOs

BNY Mellon Asset Management has promoted Gabriela Parcella to chief executive of Mellon Capital Management Corp., and hired Bart Grenier as chairman and CEO of Boston Company Asset Management LLC.

Both Parcella and Grenier will join the executive committee of BNY Mellon Asset Management, a unit of Bank of New York Mellon Corp.

Parcella joined the firm in 1997 and became chief operating officer in 2008. With her promotion to chief executive, Charlie Jacklin will be Mellon Capital's chairman, focusing on client relationships and investment strategies.

Mellon Capital co-founders Tom Loeb, who is currently chairman, and Bill Fouse will both have the title of chairman emeritus.

Grenier joins Boston Company Asset Management from Deutsche Asset Management, where he was chief investment officer and global head of institutional investments at DB Advisors. Before that he was senior vice president at Fidelity Management and Research Co.

Mellon Capital Management Corp., which is part of BNY Mellon Asset Management, has $208 billion of assets under management, according to the firm.
