First Data Corp. said it would offer an account opening program from MeridianLink Inc. in its online banking service.
First Data, a unit of the private-equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., said it would offer MeridianLink's XpressAccounts system to automate the process for opening new accounts online.
"This agreement provides needed capabilities," Brent Warrington, First Data's senior vice president and general manager of financial services, said in a press release Friday. XpressAccounts "is robust and powerful, as well as easy to use and straightforward."
