READING, Pa. -- Meridian Bancorp said the Federal Reserve Board had approved its pending acquisition of Peoples Bancorp and its subsidiary, Peoples National Bank of Lebanon.
Meridian said the transaction remains subject to the approval of the Pennsylvania Department of Banking.
Closing is expected late this month or early in December.
