Microsoft-Temenos Tech Test

Microsoft Corp. and Temenos Group AG said last week that they have completed a benchmark test that shows their technology can handle being deployed with banks.

The July test of the Temenos T24 core banking system running on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter evaluated its performance when handling transactions for 25 million accounts, 15 million customers and 2,000 branches.

Karen Cone, Microsoft's general manager of worldwide financial services, said in a press release that the test is confirms "T24's performance capability on the Microsoft platform to address the requirements of the world's largest banks."
