Missouri Bank Picks Fiserv System

Fiserv Inc. said Monday that Liberty Bank in Springfield, Mo., will use its Premier bank platform.

Premier handles account processing, online banking, electronic document management, bill payment and other services, the Brookfield, Wis., vendor said.

Blake Thomas, Liberty's chief operating officer, praised the technology. "Our more than 22,000 customers banking online won't tolerate downtime," Thomas said in a press release. "When we started losing customers due to this issue, we knew we needed to find a partner like Fiserv."

Thomas said Liberty chose Fiserv after "an extensive due diligence process" involving multiple vendors. Liberty will also use Fiserv's mobile banking system, Mobile Money, and has already implemented AccountCreate, an online account opening and funding system.

Dave Wegman, Fiserv's general manager for Premier, said in the release that, "We're committed to Liberty Bank's success, beginning with their conversion and, of course, for many years to come."
